Basic Reflection Tutorial
by Vagrant123
Since I'm getting a little outdated in the 3d imaging field, I'll share what I know with you folks as well.
Following is a description on how I make my rings images. Please note, this is just the basics for the reflections, there's more to it.
First of all, you want to turn off all sky options, including the sun. Go into the atmosphere settings, and turn everything off.
Next, you want to make that. Not too complex yet, is it? It won't be for the rest of the tutorial.
Once you've made those 3 objects, go into the material editor. Go into the material library, and go to the tab "simple and fast." Select the "mirror" material. Once you've picked the material, change the diffusion to black. Its default is blue.
Having done all this, there's two more things to do. Place two to three radial (spherical) lights inside your sphere containing the ring and oval.
Once all that is done, move your camera inside the outer sphere. From there, you can pick whichever angle you want to view the rings and items from.
I hope that isn't too confusing.
Don't limit yourself, however. There's more that you can do.
For example: Changing the diffusion of the different objects will change their color in the image. Just be careful when changing the outer sphere's diffusion.
Changing the size of the outer sphere directly effects the number of reflections seen as well. The smaller the sphere, the more reflections are visible.
Don't be afraid to put other objects inside the outer sphere as well.

I stood, beyond the world
Whispering secret syllables in the eyeless dark
Dancing wildly round & round on the rotting ground
Surrounded by the dead dusts of hell
This is how I delete myself and this is how I corrupt everyone else

Time is neither here, nor then nor later. It is consistent and never ends. Every thing that we do is repeated over and over again although we happen to percieve it as a natural flow. Could it so happen to be that we perceive wrong?
